Service notices

Loading current and planned notices…

Talk and meet

  • Service notices

Current and planned service updates in the app, desktop app and status page, with local times and a dismiss option.

  • Chat, DMs, group chats and threads

Channels, threads, reactions, @mentions, search, polls, scheduled and saved messages, link previews, custom emoji and full history.

  • Relative message dates

Yesterday, weekday and older date labels in your locale and time zone, with the full date on hover or a phone hold.

  • Quick switcher and sidebar organisation

Ctrl/⌘K to jump anywhere across your workspaces, category groups, a sidebar filter, and your own pinned, hidden and unread-only view.

  • Shared categories with another workspace

Share a category of chat, voice and Table channels with another organisation you approve: both sides post, talk and edit, see names (never emails) and keep a read-only copy if it ends.

  • Voice channels and calls

Drop-in voice channels, DM and group calls with camera and screen share, a call that follows you around the app.

  • Call tiles, layouts and volume

A tile for everyone, a Layout picker, and each person's volume from their tile.

  • Smooth motion screen share Coming soon

Share games and video at 1080p and 60 frames a second, with live numbers on the share and an automatic step down when a computer can't keep up.

  • Laser pointers on screen shares

Point at a shared screen with your own coloured dot; the sharer or a host can turn pointers off.

  • Join and leave sounds

Soft sounds when someone joins or leaves a call, with a setting and a preview.

  • Noise reduction

Levels for every room, including Outdoor for wind, and cleanup for people with noisy rooms.

  • Stages and call limits

Hosts and invited speakers talk, everyone else listens and can raise a hand.

  • Scheduled Stages

Schedule a Stage for later on the Events page or a voice channel: Remind me, reminders, a Live now banner, a green room before Go live, hosts and speakers set ahead, and a summary card when it ends.

  • Stage Q&A

Ask and upvote questions in a scheduled Stage, optionally without your name (hidden from the hosts too); hosts review, answer, set aside, bring the asker up and export the questions.

  • Virtual Office

A floor you walk into: your table is clear, nearby tables fade, with a mini-map while you work elsewhere.

  • Explore the Virtual Office

The floor fills the page: the view follows you, zoom in and out, look around, Find people and tables, and see who you can hear.

  • Bigger office floors

Small to Huge floors, how many per plan, and Combine into one map.

  • Office jukeboxes

Jukeboxes on a floor play the audio library or built-in ambient sounds in sync for everyone nearby, quieter with distance and walls.

  • Office with 100 people walking

Full-speed movement only for the floor you're on or looking at, a 2-a-second feed for the rest, and screen shares fetched only at the sharer's table.

  • Office on phones: where you are, Nearby and the map

Phones show where you are, the people you can hear loudest first, and a read-only map with pinch zoom and Go to an area.

  • Office layout editor

Owners and Admins draw a floor's rooms, booths, stage corner, lounges, labels, tables and entrance, with undo, preview and a list of what to fix.

  • Office rooms and walls

Rooms with walls and doors, quiet booths, a stage corner, walking round walls, and floor templates.

  • Office templates

Start a floor from Church campus, Guild hall, Coffee shop, Streamer studio, Classroom, Family home, Retreat or Open office — drawn at your floor's size, as a draft you can change before saving — and restore the layout you had before.

  • Office sounds

Spaces with a built-in sound (rain, fireplace, ocean, birds, crickets, noise and more) heard inside and just past their edge, through doors and muffled through walls, and one personal Office sounds level and switch with Music and Ambience inside it.

  • Office decor

Owners and Admins dress a floor with sofas, plants, rugs, counters, pews, a stage, water and more from the layout editor's Decor tab, in Midnight and Daylight colours.

  • Sounds and music credits

Settings → About lists every sound Missived plays and where it comes from: the office's sounds and the call chimes are made in your browser by our own code, and any recording or music we ship is listed with its author and licence.

  • Office music and stream sounds

Your own uploaded music and alert sounds, played through Missived.

  • Meetings with your members

Schedule, invite, join inside the app and shrink the meeting into the dock.

  • How many people fit in a meeting

A meeting holds its plan's number of people (50 on Business); hosts always get in, and the next person is told it's full and pointed at a Stage.

  • Meetings with outside guests

Email invites with calendar files, a lobby, host controls, files and a whiteboard in the call.

  • Call recording

Hosts record voice channels, Stages and meetings; everyone sees a Recording banner and hears a chime, nobody under 18 can be in a recorded call, and recordings are kept, played and deleted under the workspace's rules.

  • Automatic export of recordings

Owners and Admins connect the workspace's own Google Drive or OneDrive, and every finished recording is copied there, checked, and marked Copied ✓.

Organise and get work done

  • Tables

A grid next to the conversation: typed columns, formulas worked out on the server, history on every row.

  • Tables on phones

The same Table as cards, with filters, quick status and photos from the camera.

  • Shared views and outside Guests

A filtered window on a Table for a partner, and Guests who see only their workspace.

  • Table import, export and row threads

CSV and Excel in and out, an undo for imports, and a conversation on every row.

  • Formulas across Tables

A formula reads results from another Table you can open.

  • Table change notifications

Batched notices when rows you follow change, in Activity, push or a digest.

  • Category hand-offs

Give a team lead extra powers over one category until a date you choose.

  • Forum channels

Posts with titles, tags, an accepted answer and Helpful marks, sorted, filtered and searched; moderator tools and slow mode; follows in Activity.

  • Client portals

A private, branded portal per client: Messages they see and a Firm only channel they don't, invited by email, signing in with an emailed link instead of a password.

  • Client portal requests

Ask a client for files, answers, approvals and tasks with a due date, gentle reminders at 10:00 their time, accept or send back, and a Progress tab with stages and a timeline.

  • E-signatures Coming soon

Send a PDF for signature to one or more people, in order if you like, with approvers and copies: place each signer's fields, they open an emailed link (no account), adopt a signature and are guided through each field; everyone gets a signed copy and a certificate with a tamper-evident record.

  • Client portal branding

Your logo, cover picture, welcome banner and colours across your clients' portal, sign-in page and emails, and View as client to see a contact's portal exactly as they do.

  • Client portal templates

Start a client portal from a template — folders, stages, dated requests and a welcome — with four built in, your own, save a portal as one, preview before applying, requests that wait for a stage, and apply to many portals at once.

  • Clients dashboard

Every client portal you work on in one list — stage, templates, tags, open and overdue requests — with filters you can bookmark and bulk actions: apply a template, send reminders, move to a stage.

  • Closing a client portal

Close a client portal when the work is done: your client gets a window (30 days by default) to download what you shared, you keep it for as long as you choose (7 years by default) or delete it now. Plus a billing link, calls scheduled from the portal with a Join button for the client, asking for approval of a file, and a History of everything that happened.

  • Client portals add-on and set-up

Client portals as an add-on priced per portal licence: Owners and Admins hand out licences, set the look as a draft with a live computer and phone preview, keep defaults and templates for new portals, and start portals as drafts that go live when ready.

  • Client channels

Each client is a channel of its own: made in one step with its contacts invited, a row under Clients in the sidebar, tabs for Conversation, Internal notes, Files, Requests and a firm-only Timeline, Discuss internally, and a locked page for teammates without a portal licence.

  • Client email logging

Bcc or forward email with a client to your private logging address and it is filed on the client's timeline for your team only, with its attachments in the client's files and anything unmatched in your Unfiled tray.

  • Email a client from Missived

Write to a client or reply to their email from the client's timeline, from your own verified work address or via Missived, with 10 seconds to undo, delivery status, and the client's answers filed back on the client.

  • Client portals API

Work your client portals from scripts, automations and assistants: send requests, add folders, move stages, read the timeline, and hear when a client finishes a request or adds a file.

  • Virus scanning for client uploads

Files your clients upload are checked for viruses on our own server before they're kept; nothing is sent to an outside service.

  • Client portal files

A file library in every client portal: folders you choose to share, versions, uploads from the client into Client uploads, zips, and when the client opened each file.

  • Events page

What's coming up in the workspace as a list or a month, with filters, an event page, Open in Maps and Add to calendar; managers make events for everyone or chosen ministries and roles.

  • Event sign-ups

Sign up for events with your family and guests, answer the organiser's questions, join a waitlist that moves you up when a spot opens, and pay on the organiser's own payment page; private details are for organisers only and deleted after the event.

  • Event check-in and organiser tools

Check people in at the door from a phone (search, scan a member's code, walk-ins), download or print the list with private details only when you ask, message everyone signed up, and an event chat that keeps itself in step with who's going.

  • Flash cards

Shared decks, your own spaced-repetition schedule, Anki and CSV import.

  • Shifts and volunteer schedules

Rosters, open slots to claim, swaps and time off, and a ministry mode.

  • Boards, whiteboards and the knowledge base

A Kanban board, a live whiteboard and a knowledge base with review in every channel.

  • Files open in the app

Pictures, video, audio, PDFs, Word documents, slides, spreadsheets and text open in a viewer inside the app, and a spreadsheet can become a Table.

  • Tasks, reminders and focus

Turn a message into a task, set a reminder, start a focus session.

  • My Calendar and calendar feeds

Your meetings, shifts and events in one calendar, and secret links for Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar.

  • Dashboard channels

A channel of widgets: clients waiting on a reply, overdue requests, Tables changed since you looked, shared categories, bookings, signatures, quiet threads, Stages, who's live, prayer requests, reading plans, open groups, events, recordings, notes and Table numbers. Each person sees only what they can already open.

  • Tickets on dashboards

A Help desk starter and widgets for tickets waiting on you, overdue and unassigned work, oldest unanswered tickets, and weekly figures for queue managers. Each person sees only queues they can already open, while the Tickets add-on is on.

  • My dashboard, Pin and Present

Your own dashboard in each workspace: add widgets or pin them from any dashboard, and show any dashboard full screen on a wall screen. Each widget shows only what you can already open.

  • Dashboard integration widgets

Put numbers from other services on a dashboard: send your own JSON or connect GitHub, Sentry, Linear, Stripe, PagerDuty or GitLab to a widget's own address, watch a status page, JSON address or feed, or show a stream, game server, feed, Planning Center or supporters you already follow.

  • Dashboards from code and assistants

Build dashboards over the public API or with your own AI assistant (private until you share them, in Activity with Undo), and let apps feed their own widgets in six fixed shapes. Webhook widgets wait for you to confirm; their address is shown only to you.

  • Workflows

Steps that run on their own, built on a canvas: triggers from messages, members, Tables, schedules, webhooks, forms or by hand; post, react, notify, email members, Table rows, approvals, for-each, outside calls to allowed addresses, branches, waits and waiting for an event; templates and import; run again and version compare; tickets, tasks, meetings, booking links, Events drafts, client portal requests and stages, dashboard widgets, and a safe list of actions. Each runs as the person who published it, never with more rights, and never in direct messages or shared channels. Test runs write nothing.

  • Workflows from code and assistants

Build, check and test workflows over the public API or with your own AI assistant. Drafts and tests act directly and are in your Activity with Undo; publishing, turning one back on and allowing an outside address always wait for you, with the permission summary on the confirm page.

  • Tickets

Queues your team works: Mine, Unassigned and All open, statuses, priority, tags, an owner, notes only the team sees, merge and split, and a warning when someone else is replying. Make a ticket from any chat message. A queue can take members' requests: they ask from a Request button and follow their own in My requests. A paid add-on.

  • Tickets by email

People outside your workspace email a queue's address on tickets.missived.com to open a ticket; answers thread back, your team's replies are emailed with 10 seconds to undo and a delivered / bounced mark, notes never leave, and mail that fails sender checks waits in Spam.

  • Tickets web form + status page

A public form at tickets.missived.com/<your workspace> (or framed on your website): a moment of in-browser maths instead of a captcha, a six-digit email code, then a private status link to follow the request, reply with files, mark it solved or reopen it. Business queues may skip the code; those say Unconfirmed address until an agent replies.

  • Tickets from your own address

Forward your team's own address ([email protected]) into a queue with a step-by-step recipe for Google Workspace, Gmail, Microsoft 365, cPanel, Cloudflare, Zoho, Fastmail and iCloud, then a round-trip test; a provider's confirmation shows its code here for you to use. Verify your domain with a few DNS records and replies go out as your own address; until then they go as “your team via Missived”.

  • Tickets team tools

Assignment by round robin, least busy or skills (only people who are online), matching rules that set priority and tags, saved replies that also change status, signatures, SLA targets in business hours with warnings, snooze, bulk changes that never email anyone, saved views, Insights (numbers per agent for Owners and Admins only) and up to ten custom fields per queue.

  • Tickets portal, API and data tools

Portal Help for each contact’s own requests, personal API and assistant triage, replies confirmed by the agent, private events, dashboard reader, queue retention, contact erasure and exports.

Churches and communities

  • Prayer requests and follow-ups

Requests with updates for everyone who prayed, a daily digest, anonymous requests kept anonymous.

  • Bible study channels

On Ministry and Business, the verse of the day, then group reading plans — front to back, chronological or a focused study — with a tap to mark each day read and the share of the group keeping up.

  • Meal trains

Sign-ups to bring meals when someone has a new baby or a hard week.

  • Live quizzes and giveaways

Trivia on every phone and giveaways, with no account needed to play.

  • Fan hub and stream overlays

A public page at missived.com/@you and alerts in OBS.

  • Looking for group

A Games tab of game tiles; post a group with platform, region, time, slots and rank, and people join, ask or wait their turn.

Make it yours

  • Themes and chat backgrounds

Midnight and Daylight, theme presets, readable gradients and patterns.

  • Your look in each workspace

A name, picture, shape and colour per workspace, shown in its chat and office.

  • Workspace accent colour

Owners and Admins pick a default accent for everyone in the workspace; anyone's own accent still wins, and links stay readable in both modes.

Where you use it

  • The web app

Any modern browser, nothing to install.

  • Desktop app for Mac and Windows

Its own notifications, right-click menus, spelling and an icon that follows your theme.

  • Install on your phone

Add Missived to your home screen on iPhone or Android, with a phone layout and calls.

  • Push notifications

Notifications on the device you're not looking at, opening the right place when tapped.

  • Self-host on your own server

The open-source edition on a Linux server, a Mac or a Windows PC, with step-by-step guides, a setup script and a checker.

  • Several server copies

The server can run as several copies sharing the work, and catches you up on what you missed when you reconnect.

Privacy, security and your data

  • Production verification log

Platform operators keep private device test logs and publish verification dates after a checked update.

  • Encryption at rest

Messages and files always stored encrypted, in every workspace, with search kept.

  • Encryption page and key rotation

Owners and Admins see what is and isn't encrypted; Owners rotate the workspace key after confirming it's them.

  • Sign-in security

Authenticator apps, backup codes, a code for new devices, and sessions you can sign out of.

  • Continue with Google

Sign up or log in with Google instead of a password; Google tells us only your name and verified email.

  • Continue with Microsoft

Sign up or log in with a personal or work Microsoft account instead of a password; Microsoft tells us only your name and email.

  • Workspace single sign-on

A Business workspace's people sign in with its own identity provider (Okta, Entra ID, Google Workspace, Keycloak, ADFS…) over OpenID Connect or SAML 2.0, on DNS-verified email domains, and an Owner can require it for those addresses.

  • Roles, permissions and Guests

Owner, Admin, Member and Guest, custom roles, per-channel permissions and "Why can they…?".

  • Switch off features you don't use

Owners and Admins hide any feature the workspace doesn't need, for everyone, in Org Settings → Features; nothing is deleted.

  • Audit log

A record of admin actions for Owners and Admins.

  • Download my data and delete my account

A zip of what's yours, and account deletion with 7 days to change your mind.

  • Workspace export

Owners download the whole workspace, never DMs or personal channels.

  • Age rules and teen-safe settings

Month-and-year age question at sign-up (only the year is kept), 13+ minimum, teen-safe defaults for 13–17, and Report an underage account.

  • Word filter

Slurs, hate and sexually explicit words blocked everywhere; swearing blocked by default, an Owner can switch it off or tune it.

  • Notifications without message text

A personal setting and a workspace rule that keep message text out of notifications and email.

  • Bug reports and fixes

Report a bug with optional steps and a screenshot you can crop and blur; send it to our team only or with our AI assistant's help, and hear "Fixed in …" when it ships.

  • Automatic deletion of old records

Security and audit records and bug reports are deleted after a year, expired sessions 30 days after they end, and server logs are capped.

  • 30 days' notice of privacy changes

A material change to the privacy promise is announced in the app and by email to every account holder at least 30 days ahead.

  • EU / UK interest list

People outside the US can join a list on the privacy promise page to hear if EU / UK data residency is added.

  • Account reps (Business)

A named Missived account rep for Business workspaces. Reps see counts and names only, never your content, and every look appears in your audit log with a Missived badge.

Integrations and developers

  • Personal tokens and the API

A documented REST API, with tokens that carry only the scopes you pick.

  • Apps and bots

Bot users that see only the channels people add them to.

  • Bot SDK

A typed TypeScript client for bots.

  • Bot gateway

Real-time events for bots over one connection.

Commands in the / picker, each a signed request to your server.

  • Buttons and forms

Buttons, menus, forms and private replies on a bot's messages.

  • Sign in with Missived

"Add to Missived" and "Sign in with Missived" for other services.

  • AI assistants (MCP)

Claude and other assistants read and post as you, within the permissions you give.

  • Assistants that build and manage

An AI assistant sets things up, invites people and tidies up as you, listed in your Activity with Undo; sharing outside waits for you.

Schedule meetings and give or take custom roles from your own code.

  • Zapier, Make and n8n

    Missived in the no-code tools.

  • Incoming webhooks

  • Audit log streaming

Your audit log as signed webhooks to your own endpoint.

  • Plans and availability

What each plan includes, and the same answer from the API when something isn't on yours.

  • Buy and manage a plan

Owners and Admins upgrade, change size or users, and cancel in Org Settings → Billing, paying on Stripe's secure page; invoices and card details in Stripe's billing portal. Smaller plans start at renewal; a failed payment gives 7 days before read-only.

  • Paid add-ons

Extras a workspace puts on its plan from Org Settings → Billing: try one free for 14 days with no card, add it to the plan's subscription, change how many, or remove it. Nothing is deleted when an add-on ends: it stays readable for 30 days. Tickets is the first.

  • Referral partners

People we invite share a Missived code or link and earn a share of what the workspaces they refer pay. A code goes in the Upgrade dialog (a discount code takes its discount off on Stripe's page); partners see only monthly totals on their Partner program page — never a workspace — and are paid by hand from monthly statements.

  • Your identity, per workspace

Members are named by the name they use in each workspace — never their email. Owners and Admins see addresses only where they manage people; apps and tokens never do.

  • More workspaces (3 free)

Create another workspace from the workspace menu. New workspaces start on Free; you can own up to 3 free ones, and paid workspaces don't count toward that.
