Roadmap
Where Missived is going
What we're building now, what comes next, and what we're thinking about. There are no dates here on purpose. Missived is self-funded and built by a small team; we'd rather tell you the order we're working in than promise a day and miss it. When something ships, it moves to the changelog.
If something here matters to you, or something you need is missing, write to [email protected]. That is genuinely how the order gets decided.
Now
Being built or checked right now.
- A full security and data-safety review: a line-by-line check of who can see what, how you sign in, and every way data comes in or goes out, with anything we find fixed before more people join.
- Clear warnings before anything is deleted: when a workspace, a channel or your data is about to go, you hear about it ahead of time, plainly, with time to download it or change your mind.
- Checking the hard parts on real devices: calls with many people, phones and push notifications, and meetings with real email, on the live service. The testing page shows what's been confirmed.
Next
Up after that, roughly in this order.
Our first priority as revenue comes in: signed and notarised Windows and macOS apps, and native apps in the App Store and Google Play. The download page lists what is available today.
Paying for a plan yourself: self-serve checkout instead of emailing us. The payment company will be added to our list of every company that touches your data before it goes live.
Bug reports that reach us faster: reporting a problem from the app turns into a tracked fix on our side, and you hear back when it's done.
The portable edition, made easy: run your own copy of Missived on your own computer or server with a simple launcher, and give it a web address people can reach without setting up networking yourself.
Tables automations: "when a row changes, do this": post in a channel, notify someone, fill in a cell.
End-to-end encryption for direct and group calls, then direct messages, group chats and meetings: only the people in the conversation will hold the keys. We'll say exactly what works differently before you switch it on. What's encrypted today shows where things stand now.
Live polls in a Stage: ask the audience a question during a scheduled Stage and show the results live (the town hall / all-hands case).
Later
Planned, further out.
- Tables: rows inside rows: parent and child rows with totals that roll up, for project plans.
- Sharing a Table view with another workspace: a partner sees your shared view inside their own Missived.
- Recurring meetings.
- Room to grow: running Missived across more than one machine (it can already run as several copies on one), so one busy workspace never slows another.
Exploring
Ideas we're weighing up. They may change or not happen.
These are ideas we like but haven't committed to. They may change shape or not happen.
- Meeting notes with an AI you choose: only with an assistant your workspace connects itself, never ours by default, and never used to train anything.
- Points and rewards for communities that want them.
- Restricted office floors, open only to some people.
- Channels that are private by default for workspaces that want that.
